this morning, t tried to get tickets for us to go to a conference in november featuring the dalai lama and stanford neuroscientists. when he showed up at lunch, the tix were already sold out. another friend of ours went earlier and did get tickets ... because he stood in line from 8:30 this morning until 1pm. geez.
dalai lama, the pixies, star wars opening night. so many things these days involve people camping out in line for many many hours in order to be entertained for a few hours.
